About
🧞♂️🔮 The Fake Guru is a place for you to relax,
🐇🕳 and for you to get lost in your imagination.
📖⏱ For just a few minutes.
Within the pages of TFG you'll find a compilation (40+ and more to come) of short stories (1-5 minutes to read / story) - all in the genre of Magical Realism. To give the reader some structure, I've split this genre into four subcategories:
🔫 Fiction: Your "anytime of the day" bread and butter.
🧚🏼♀️ Fantasy: If you like sexy elves, this is the place for you.
🛸 Sci-Fi: PEEW! PHEW! (Yep, that's what a blaster sounds like)
🍩 Life: Or was it Fiction? I guess we'll never know.
All of the stories are published to this Blog and Instagram.
PS: Not all stories are strictly Magical Realism. Some are just Fiction, some are straight up Fantasy. Sometimes it's just whatever happens when the pen hits the paper. No biggie.
TFG is not:
-
❌ Self-help literature. That stuff's for the airport kiosk.
-
❌ Self-indulgent "How-To" Instructions. I'll use Google, thx.
-
❌ "Inspiring" Quotes. You don't need 'em. You got this. LOL.
Magic Realism is a genre of fiction in which magical elements are blended into a realistic atmosphere in order to demonstrate a deeper understanding of reality.
Art by Ron Gonsalves
These magical elements are explained like normal occurrences that are presented in a straightforward manner which allows the "real" and the "fantastic" to be accepted in the same stream of thought.
